The winner of our “Jump Start Your Morning” Contest held recently with Think Fitness was Elizabeth Harvey, whose favourite morning workout includes a long bike ride along the water as the sun comes up, followed by her favourite breakfast of a chocolate peanut butter protein shake and coffee. Hope she enjoys our prize of a dark roast, organic coffee and a Steel Cut Oatmeal, also pretty good for a post-workout energizing breakfast! At Sweet Flour, we think fitness, cookies, and fun belong together, so we’re partnering up with Think Fitness Studio, the place that inspired our now famous Fitness Cookie (also fondly referred to as the Oatmeal Blueberry Almond Dark Chocolate TASTE OF HEAVEN!) From May 2nd to May 8th, we’re joining with our Bloor West neighbours to help “Jump Start Your Morning” with a special contest. Simply go to their Facebook page and post your favourite type of workout on their wall, and you’ll have a chance to win a free morning exercise class, ranging from Yoga Fusion to Stroller Fit to Athletic Strength and Conditioning. Barista by Day…Rocker by Night

Yes, we’re proud of our multi-talented staff—bakers who are artists, baristas who are rockers…we’re a well stocked crew! He’s been with us only a few weeks, but Alex is already rocking our counter, not to mention doing some killer shows around the GTA with his band, Rikers. The word at Sweet Flour is the guys put on an amazing show, so check it out for yourself this week as they take part in Canadian Music Week. The band will be on tour supporting Big Wreck April 28th, but you can start following them across the city tonight, Mar. 22, as they play at the Hideout and Friday night at nightclub Cabin 5. And when they become big and famous, you can say you knew Alex when he was just an awesome cookie-maker!
